ZENITH is "the point on the celestial sphere directly above the observer". An ancient word that reflects human's intimate relationship with nature, variations of 'zenith' can be traced to Arabic, Medieval Latin, Indo-European, French and Middle English. In the late 1400's, a scribe translated the word incorrectly, and this typo resulted in the word we use today.

Over centuries people from many cultures have interpreted 'zenith' differently yet its meaning has remained essentially the same. While fewer people look to the sky for divine guidance and inspiration, we still share the same celestial canopy- and often the same path.
